New Template!

As I'm sure anyone who has visited this site in the past will notice, I have a new template! Well, it's a rehashing of the old one with a new color scheme and lots more javascript functionality. Please let me know what you guys think, as none of this is written in stone. Many of my changes were based on suggestions visitors had in the past few months and I am definitely open to even more suggestions. Thanks!

I liked it better when you didn't have to click on the category header to see the premimum blogs for each category - this was more accessable for the average web surfer. Other than that I like the colors - especially the red!

The reason I did this for the premium categories is that you really only ever got to see the personal ones. Although they have earned the right to be on top, I felt like none of the others were getting clicked. Now you can easily see all the categories and a single click can get you all the blogs within that category.

Oh well, perhaps if enough people feel the same as you I can change it back. Let me know what you think guys!

To be honest, I prefered the previous color scheme (way easier on the eyes).

Your blog is still great though!

You know I liked the old color of the blog. But if you do want to switch the colors up that fine but I think its best to limit the number of colors you use to 2-3, it just makes it more pleasing to the eye thats all.

I do have to agree with Zorak about having to click + and - signs to either hide or see stuff might not be as accessable to the average web surfer, but I do see your point about being able to see all the categories. It did always bother me a bit that the Personal blogs was all ways at the top and you had to scroll down to the Entertainment blogs to see my blog Wasting Time or scroll down even further to see the Funny blogs to see my other blog The Ordinary Adventures of Tomas.

I always thought that maybe you could rotate the order that the blog categories were listed in the side bar. Like for one week have Sports/Fitness blogs at the top of the list and than another week have Travel Blogs at the top of the list..etc.etc. etc.

Other than that keep up the good work you put into this blog

Wow. That's definitely a major change. I thought I was on the wrong site.

I like the improvements in navigation, but I liked the old colors better.

I think the biggest problem might be the bright white, you could maybe try replacing it with something that is a little gentler on the eyes.

I took your suggestion Dan and made the background into a gray, and the rest of the white into a more pale white. I think that's better, thanks!

Did anyone notice that the PayPerPost ads are hidden by default while the rest of my posts are shown by default? You gotta like that improvement!!

I definitely like the new layout and having more colors! Now if only there was more purple...haha.

I still prefer the old colors

and I did notice that the PPP ads are hidden

Ok, I softened the colors a bit. Also I added a little more red as opposed to blue. Am I moving in the right direction?

Like it! Before there seemed to be alot of static to view, now it seems cleaner.

It looks like something else I have seen...it will come to me later.

I like the red and yellow, and I like the rainbow colors on the sidebar. I like that you have to click to see the blogs in the category. It makes the design cleaner and I agree with your other reasoning on this. How are you able to hide your PPPs? Now THAT'S a smooth move, as long as the PPP people don't catch on.

Well, here's the thing. I made it so that on the individual page, it shows all the text by default, but on the main page it doesn't. I'll let you know when I have a post rejected or approved, and if they approve it I'll give you a hand setting it up on your blog if you'd like.
