So, one of my best friends at work is not another teacher, but a guy who handles the computers...the IT guy. Are you at all surprised that I'd make friends with the computer guy? Anyway, he's already taught me a lot about how to keep an entire system of computers up and running. One thing he hasn't mentioned, but maybe I'll mention to him is the needs for a multiple anti-virus approach to email security. GFI has a new whitepaper about this very topic. Click the link to check out its availability. I think this really makes sense from a computer perspective. If one virus service was sufficient, then there wouldn't be so many different products out there. Maybe if you just have your little computer there it isn't too essential, but when you are trying to keep an entire network of computers free from viruses, you can understand that the stakes are raised.
