Google Adsense is Nonsense!

Yesterday started as a happy day. Finally, I had reached the $100 minimum required by Google Adsense to receive a payment. The happiness lasted about 2 hours, because I soon received this email:
"It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account."

There's no specifics, there's no appeal process, there's no only taking the money generated by these mystery "invalid clicks." All $100 is gone! And you know what...this is the 2nd time this has happened to me!! Last time I only made it up to $85, but I was so close. I can honestly say that I followed their guidelines. I read through the entire 'Terms of Service' the second time around. My wife even asked me, "You're doing Adsense again, won't the same thing just happen?" I said, "No, I'm gonna read the rules and make absolutely sure to follow them!"

So, now I'm completely throwing my support towards advertising the AdBrite (visit the button in the left sidebar if you are interested in joining). I thought I'd do a short list of Pros and Cons for my readers so they can make an informed choice.

Pros:
(1) You choose your minimum payout. No $100 nonsense. My minimum is $10, when I reach that (which I actually already have), I'll get my check.
(2) AdBrite admits how much of a cut they take (30%). Google Adsense is a load of crap because they keep their fees a secret, and I'm willing to bet they're way above 30%.
(3) Higher payouts per click. This is definitely a result of Number (2) there.
(4) Sell ads specifically for your site. If someone really, really likes your site, they can buy an ad that will just run there. Plus, you set the price! "Link Experiment," "Funny Shirts Apply Here," and "Blog Surfers Anonymous" are all advertisers who have specifically chosen my site. The rest of the ads you see are all targetted, contextual ads. (If you'd like to advertise here, just click the "Your Ad Here." Different zones are different prices, all are less than a dollar a day, though)
(5) No super-long list of terms, conditions, and loopholes that they can site to take away your money.
(6) Those "Active Interstitials" which I'm sure you've seen here if you are a regular visitor.

Cons:
(1) The ads aren't quite as pretty looking as Google's.
(2) They have mostly text ads to choose from (though there is a beta Banner Image program).
(3) The ads aren't quite as relevant as the ones Google usually found.

For small-time blogs like most of my readers have though, AdBrite is the clear choice. $100 on Adsense took almost 100,000 visitors to reach! You can set your minimum on AdBrite to $1.00 and be getting a check (albeit maybe a small one) or direct deposit every single month!

Yes, I get money. But its not part of your money...I get a percentage of the 30% that AdBrite keeps for themselves. Whether you click my button or not, will not affect how much money YOU make.

Wha??? That makes no sense.

Sucks about AdSense. You weren't kidding! They ARE jerks!
You know what, I sure hope google never does that to me. I might have to go with addbright.

Can you have Adsense and AdBrite on the same site or does that void the contract with both of them?

This is the third time in the last week I've heard about someone having that problem with Adsense and getting no explanation at all. Nice, Google - very nice.

I had the google ads on my blog for like a day and I gave up and took it off. Wasn't worth the clutter it did to my pretty blog!

Thanks for letting us know about your experience with Adsense! I've added AdBrite to my page.

You can use AdBrite on your site along with Adsense as long as you only use the AdBrite text link ads. Using contextual ads from AdBrite will violate Google's usage guidelines.

Aside from all the Google crap described above, I've had better results from AdBrite for less money. Power to the proletariat. Or to the blogetariat. Or something. I should be sleeping. Reminds me of a Beatles lyric...

Hello from a blogger down under in New Zealand. Aren't you cutting your own throat ??? Adsense/Google can if they wanted to delete your blog/s - after all, they own Blogspot. It's a no win situation.

I think that the best way to earn money is overture(yahoo)! They tell us the truth!
Google wont delete your blog just for describing this. That would instantly turn you into a big problem. Everyone would know about it.

Maybe this has something to do with what you're experiencing.

Thanks for all the info about AdBrite... I actually signed up last night and put the ads on today. I was having a hard time with google ads, and they always seemed to be down when my site has a burst of traffic. I kept the one small google ad because it fit better than the AdBrite ads and surprisingly my google income was decent today for what ever reason.

Oh and after recently getting a big increase in my traffic...google sent me an email a couple of weeks later saying that my earning would be adjusted for suspicious clicks. I never click on the google ads myself, maybe three times total, because I wanted to actually read what the ad was promoting.
Yeap, my friend experienced the same thing like you did! adsense is nonsense!

Ok i read all of this but i cant take the adsense out..how do you do it???

You need to go into your template and remove it manually.

I think the entire code is surrounded by something like
[div class = 'adsense']......[/div]

Hope this helps!

Google also threw me out. No explanation. They assume they are judge, jury and executioner.

This was over a year ago - I had earned less than $10!
