I once loaned a friend a rather large sum of money (or at least it was at the time). Long story kinda short, we didn't set up any payment schedule or due date, and I felt weird asking him for the money, so it went a long time without either of us bringing it up. Finally, he did pay it back, but it pretty awkward having to ask him for it after all those months. Lesson of the story: don't loan or borrow money from friends!
